Walt Disney World has over 25 resorts and 3 categories to choose from (Value, Moderate and Deluxe Resorts). So when picking a place to stay you want to make sure you and your family choose the right one to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. Many want to save money on the resort but did you know the difference between a value resort and a moderate resort at Walt Disney World might only be only a difference of $20-40 p/night.
A Moderate Resort may have more options that might be what you need when you plan your vacation. You can choose from Port Orleans - French Quarter, Port Orleans - Riverside, Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs or Cabins at Ft. Wilderness Campground. These resorts offer larger rooms, some sleeping up to 5. The pools are themed and include water slides and hot tubs. You may get themed pools at Value Resorts but they do not have water slides and hot tubs. Value Resorts have quick service dining but at Moderate Resorts you get options with a quick service location and sometimes multiple locations along with table-service restaurants.
Value Resorts offer busing to and from the theme parks and Disney Springs, but only offer a main drop off location. At Moderate Resorts they have a main drop off location at the lobby but also offer multiple locations throughout the resort. So at the end of a long day walking through the parks and Florida sun, you will have a shorter walk to your room. Some of the Moderate Resorts even offer boat transportation to Disney Springs for those who like a more relaxed evening out.
