Important Changes to your NEXT Disney Vacation

Since January 1st we have seen many changes and announcements from Disney that we didn't see coming. Let's reflect back on what we now know is coming for our 2021.

Walt Disney World

  • Park Hopping has resumed for all 4 theme parks. A reservation is required to enter the first park, but after 2pm you can call 407-560-5000 or check your My Disney Experience for capacity levels at any of the other theme parks. Then hop a Disney Bus and head over to the next theme park. Just a reminder the Epcot Monorail has not opened yet to use for Park Hopping. Feel energetic hop all 4 in one day!

  • Guests checking into a Walt Disney World Resort will no longer receive complimentary Magic Bands. They can still be purchased from shopdisney.com or at your resort or in a theme park. From past experiences I will say these little guys make your Walt Disney World Vacation much easier and less to carry or fumble around looking for your ticket when needed. If you purchase a Memory Maker I highly recommend having these for your party. These Magic Bands will help capture all the ride photos and videos to download at a later time. Some of these pictures are the most fun to look at after the vacation is all over. The sad time...when we are home wishing we were back. FYI - Your Magic Bands are reusable so never throw them away! They can be linked to a new reservation each time and yes it will open your door to your resort each visit. Cool right?

  • Walt Disney World Resort Guests will no longer have Extra Magic Hours, but instead get the option to enter any one of the 4 theme parks a half hour on any day! A win, win if you ask me. A theme park reservation is still required even for this little extra magic each day.

  • Disney's Memory Maker - Activate your Memory Maker now through May 19, 2021, to download all your photos and videos captured through June 18, 2021. Activate your one day Memory Maker for $69 and get two full days of Disney PhotoPass photos and videos for the price of one! Activate Memory Maker One Day now through March 11, 2021 to download your Disney PhotoPass photos and videos from the day of your choice PLUS receive photo and video downloads from the following consecutive day too – at no extra cost. Memory Maker advanced purchase price is still discounted at $169 and is available for the length of your vacation.

  • Disney Springs - Received a couple new additions to your entice your taste buds and fill your belly's. Gideon's Bake Shop and Everglazed Donuts and Cold Brew are now open and with virtual lines. These are places you don't want to miss out! You will thank me later.

  • Magic Kingdom now has more places to eat. Recently welcoming back Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey. Chef Mickey is located in the Contemporary Resort right next to Magic Kingdom and only a short walk away.

  • The Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom game will be ending on January 25th, 2021. So no more casting spells and collecting those cards. We'll have to wait and see what will be coming next.

  • ‘Festival of the Lion King’ at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is BACK this Summer!! It will be modified a bit due to Covid protocols to ensure the performers and guests are safe. But, with that aside I think the Magic of seeing this show again will bring such much needed happiness this summer!

As Disney has shared before, Tom Holland reprises his role as Peter Parker for WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure. Tom who shared more details about his role in the attraction and his excitement for working with Walt Disney Imagineering on this new adventure. Check out this first look below!
